This project was for a structural packaging course to understand the creation of packaging for more luxurious products, using chipboard and foam core to create rigid packaging. Enchanted, a Disney Fine Jewelry line was chosen to redesign its ring box, maintaining its elegance while better reflecting the Disney brand.
Design Exploration
This design concept introduces a "pop-up" experience. Opening the ring box reveals the iconic Disney Castle, which illuminates the ring and captures the essence of Disney in a visually striking way.
This design concept reimagines the iconic Mickey head as a spherical ring box, where lifting the top half along a panel simultaneously raises the platform holding the ring.
This design concept also incorporates the iconic Mickey head, but with a more cylindrical shape, allowing for a classic opening mechanism similar to traditional ring boxes, providing both functionality and a playful twist on the iconic design.
